New Business Wins From Offshore Europe Presence
Aberdeen-based freight logistics company Intercargo Services has secured a number of new pieces of work from contacts made at Offshore Europe, the largest upstream oil and gas event outside North America.
Held at Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre in early September, the 2011 event was the largest in show’s history and it provided exposure for Intercargo to over 32,000 visitors from around 100 countries.
This was the second time the oil and gas logistics specialist had exhibited at Offshore Europe and the firm continues to be impressed by the quantity and quality of visitors attending the show.
Jim Watt, director of Intercargo, said: “Offshore Europe 2011 provided us with an excellent platform from which to establish a large number of new contacts and reaffirm relationships with existing clients. Our exposure at the event has allowed us to secure a number of new contracts, whilst also highlighting our range of services, including our weekly West Africa shuttle.
“The sheer size and scale of Offshore Europe never fails to surprise me, as every two years it continues to grow significantly. This is extremely encouraging for the continued buoyancy of the oil and gas sector, not just here in the north-east, but across the world.”
Established in 1998, Intercargo Services has grown to become one of north-east Scotland’s leading global freight forwarding companies. Employing 22 full-time staff, the firm has offices in Aberdeen and London and representation in America, Brazil, West Africa, the Middle East and south-east Asia. Intercargo also offers a dangerous-goods uplift, packing and shipping service. For more information about Intercargo Services, e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org or telephone 01224 772120
